Leaving for Mexico mañana!

Hey everyone,
I want to say thanks again to everyone who made it possible for me to go on the trip, as you can see below, you not only made it possible for me to go, but also helped some of the high schoolers go too! So thank you!!

Now on to the other extra important thing, prayer. Please be praying for the trip. We are meeting at the airport at 7am tomorrow, and will be flying down to San Diego and then crossing the border in a bus. Please pray for traveling safety and for no problems as we cross the border both to and from Mexico.

Another big prayer request is health. I've managed to get sick right before these trips or during these trips in one way or another, so if you could pray an extra dose of health for myself and the students, that'd be awesome!

Also pray for the worship team. I'll be leading the student worship team and supposedly we'll be playing at a few churches, leading worship in Spanish and then leading worship for our team devotional times (in English)... Just be praying that we would all truly engage in worship and that there wouldn't be distractions either physically or in our hearts.

Lastly, please pray that the people down there that we come in contact with would be impacted not by the presentations we do or what we say, but rather by what we DON'T say; how we show God's love for them (and each other). Also that the hearts of the kids on our team would be impacted and that God would make his calling clear to those who he wants to pursue this type of service even more.

Thank you all and I hope to have a video and pics to show when we get back!

¡Que Dios les bendiga mucho!

Jake

p.s. Please pray that my camera equipment stays safe so I can keep making these videos to share what's going on! Thx!

Jake:

Thanks for keeping us posted as to the trip. We will remeber to pray for you all. A line from the Men's study we have been doing, "The Man God Uses" gave us this on Saturday:

"The man God uses is one who has absolute, unconditional trust, reliance and faith in God. He is a man through whom God can do all things..."exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think". Eph 3:20

"Therefore the man God uses is one who keeps his character with integrity, knowing that his life is a highway for God to work in every place God chooses to place him. Nothing is impossible through his life!"

"What incredible changes and blessings can flow through the man God uses!"

These insights I pray may be your testimony as you allow God to use you...and each one of your young people, uniquely. Be highways for God.

God is able. Blessings, friend of God.
